A+ R A-

I have found a great RV to purchase, but I live a long distance from the RV’s location. How can you help me to make an informed decision?

Quality RV Inspections by Art Horton LLC conducts inspections all over the state of Florida. As an Advanced Inspector Trainer, I trained Level 1 (Basic) Inspectors to become Level 2 (advanced) Inspectors. Through those courses I taught NRVIA Level 1 Inspectors from all over the USA. If the RV you require an Inspection on is out of my area, I can recommend one of my students to conduct your inspection. NRVIA has qualified Level 2 Inspectors throughout the USA.  I strongly recommend you hire a Level 2 Advanced Inspector for your inspection.

Why do I need an independent RV inspection?

Quality RV Inspections by Art Horton LLC is an experienced, unbiased and impartial inspection service that, by our code of ethics, does not have any financial interest in the transaction. The inspections we perform provides detailed information about the current operating condition of the RV you have requested the inspection on. If everything is working and in good operating condition, the report will provide confirmation that what the seller said and what you thought to be true is true. However, in the case where components are not working, degraded or damaged, the report lets you, the purchaser, know the true condition of the RV before the purchase is consummated.

I have owned travel trailers, 5th wheels and or motorhomes. Why would I pay Quality RV Inspections by Art Horton LLC to conduct the RV inspection for me?

The purchaser (you) are often looking at the aesthetics of the RV to determine if it will meet their (your) travel and comfort needs. The emotional attachment to the purchase process can lead the purchaser to overlook the obvious and hidden condition of the RV. We inspect each RV using our inspection points of inspection and scope sheet in a methodical and detached manner providing a truly unbiased inspection. Confirming what you believe to be true is a good thing. Finding real or potential problems that you may have overlooked before you purchase is even better.

I have found a great RV. When does Quality RV Inspections by Art Horton LLC get involved?

It seems to work best if you, the purchaser, find the RV you are interested in purchasing and discuss (negotiate) a price that you are willing to pay based on the assumption that what the seller has represented to you is correct and that the purchase is contingent on the completion of a professional inspection by Quality RV Inspections by Art Horton LLC.  Be clear about what you expect and get it in writing. Your independent inspector will inspect the RV using the Quality RV inspection by Art Horton LLC scope of inspection detailed checklist. The Inspection Report will identify the current state of the RV. After the inspection is completed, report and pictures reviewed the report will be emailed to you.   Once you have reviewed the report and pictures you will then be able to make an informed decision on how you wish to proceed. If the inspection finds issues that concern you, then have alternatives. You can renegotiate the purchase price based on the inspection report or you can request the seller to fix the items of concern or you can walk away from the purchase. However, make sure that you specify, and in writing, that the purchase is contingent on an inspection from an independent inspector of your choice to confirm what the seller has represented to be true.

Are you licensed and insured?

Quality RV Inspections by Art Horton LLC is a NRVIA Level 2 (Advanced) certified RV Inspector. Further advanced training as a NRVIA level 2 (advanced) inspector trainer. The RV industry does not require licensing to operate an inspection business. We carry commercial Liability Insurance to protect all parties involved in an RV inspection.

What if I decide not to purchase the RV you have inspected? Do you provide a discount if I hire you again?

Since all inspections require the same amount of work based on the type of RV being inspected and the level of service provided, unfortunately we cannot discount our services but we will accommodate you as an existing client by moving you to the top of our schedule.

How long does it take to complete the onsite inspection?

The amount of time an inspection can take is dependent on the type of unit and depth of inspection you purchased.   Obviously, more in-depth inspections and fluid sampling are going to take several hours (possibly 4-7 hours)  Basic inspections will take less time.

How long does it take to receive my inspection report?

Most clients should expect to have the report emailed to them within 36 hours following the onsite inspection. Fluid samples will be sent second day delivery to the lab, (overnight deliver is available at extra cost) the lab reports are usually received in 5 to 6 days from the inspection. Reports will be reviewed by the inspector and send via email to you.
